Which Perfume is for me
Our perfumes come from the French niche house MDCI. They are elegant, carefully made fragrances with classical French character - refined, balanced, and made for people who prefer quality over trends. The bottles are beautiful objects in their own right, but the focus here is on finding a scent that suits you.
1. Start with what feels natural to you
Think about the styles you already like:
Fresh, clean, citrus or green → lighter, brighter options
Floral or soft fruity → elegant florals and fruity-florals
Warm, woody, spicy or resinous → richer, deeper compositions
2. Match the season (a practical starting point)
Spring & Summer — Lighter, fresher, or softly fruity-floral scents work best in warmer weather. They feel clean and don’t become heavy in the heat.
Autumn & Winter — Richer, warmer, woody, spicy or chypre-style fragrances shine in cooler air. They have more presence and last longer when temperatures drop.
Many MDCI perfumes can be worn year-round if you adjust the number of sprays, but the seasonal split above is a reliable guide.
3. Consider the occasion
Everyday / work → cleaner, more discreet compositions
Evenings or special moments → something with a bit more depth or character
You don’t need a different perfume for every situation. One or two well-chosen bottles usually cover most needs.
4. Less is usually better
These are concentrated, high-quality fragrances. Two or three sprays on pulse points is often enough. You can always add more, but it’s harder to tone one down once it’s on.
5. Give it time
Niche perfumes like these evolve on the skin. The first few minutes can smell different from the heart and dry-down. Wear a sample for a full day before deciding.
Quick tip
If you love bright, open spaces and a Mediterranean feeling (as our wall art does), lean toward the fresher, luminous options first. They tend to feel most at home in light-filled rooms and warmer weather.
That’s the simplest way to approach it.
